Fondant Daisies and Vase

This was my second attempt at flowers. Since I try to do everything as detailed as possible, this was going to be no different. I was very pleased with this piece.

I was going to make a dozen fondant roses for my wife on Valentine's Day but decided not to.  I still wanted to make one though, so this is how it turned out.

My co-worker (the one I did the F-150 cake for) wanted me to do her son’s 17th birthday cake. She said since the 1st one (the f-150 cake) was outstanding I had a lot to live up to. She wanted a logo from the band Blink 182 on his cake, so, the best way I could think of to do it was airbrush it. Two problems with that though: 1) I haven’t used my airbrush in almost a year so I was out of practice, and 2) I had to cut out a logo with a razor knife which was tough to do. But after about 10 hours arguing with and cussing at this cake, it was complete and he loved it when he came with his mother to pick it up. She was happy and said his friends were jealous. My job here is done.
