After my son's birthday cake, I started to get decorating fever. So I tried to think of a good cake to do and Sponge Bob became my next victim. This was the 1st where I had to mold detailed pieces for a cake. I gave the cake to my nephew who I was told gobbled it up.

This was the cake that started my enthusiasm for cake decorating. My wife and I were planning our son's 1st birthday and she wanted to have a very special cake for his party.  Knowing that these type cake can be costly I told her that I would make his cake. I have a culinary school background and at the time worked as a baker in a grocery store, so I have been exposed to cake decorating quite a bit but never have done a lot. Just so you know a little about me, I can be very head-strong and can do almost anything I put my mind to. So I told her I would do it and as you will find out through this blog I created a monster!
