Largemouth Bass Cake
This cake is exactly like the F-150. As my brain started working the details increased. I bought an air-brush machine during the process so I was a dangerous man! Anyway, this was a fun one and again the WOW factor was in order.

ReplyDeleteThis was a little difficult. I started with a sheet cake and craved the fish shape. Then covered in fondant and airbrushed the outside for details. The fins were made ahead of time and also airbrushed. One of the cool effects I did was the gills. I took a crescent moon shaped piece of red fondant and a razor knife and did a bunch of cuts to give the look of the gills, then I cut the fondant in order to open up the gills and then inserted the gills. The lure was made with a piece of fondant and I used real fishing line and a hook. The name plate with a bronze colored piece of fondant brushed with bronze and gold mixed pearl dust.
